Tofu Balls

Tofu balls ..hmmm tried the recipe for the first time .Yesterday got some Japanese Tofus from Landmark but unfortunately they were so soft that the moment I unpacked they were all crumbled and broken into pieces. The only option I had to make is to make Tofu balls/Pakora though my earlier plan was to grill.

Interesting fact about Tofu -Tofu is an ancient food that was discovered around 164 B.C.Tofu is used at Buddhist banquets to imitate meat? It is made from soy beans, which were considered one of the five sacred grains in China in ancient times. They are believed to have been discovered by a famous scholar and philosopher named Lord Liu An of Huai-nan. It’s also considered an important delicacy in Japan.

Grated Cheese

INGREDIENTS

1.Tofu (1 packet)
2.Grated cheese
3.Mushroom (Optional chopped)
4.Salt (1 Teaspoon)
5.Pepper (1 Teaspoon)
6.Bread Crumbs
7.One Egg
8.Chili (Optional)
9.Coriander leaves (Chopped)
10.Onion (1 chopped)

The Mixture

DIRECTIONS

1.In a bowl mix tofu,grated cheese,mushroom, salt, pepper,chili,coriander leaves,onions and bread crumbs.
2.Dip in egg,heat oil in a pan and fry.
3.Serve hot with sauce and onion slices.
